The Rowan Tool Roll is digital sewing pattern for a functional item that can be used for a variety of tools.
I regularly use View A as a simple desk roll, with my most used sewing and pattern making tools inside. It’s easy to roll up my tools and move to a different work area when I need to.
I also use View B as a belt version, filled with a variety of art supplies. This makes it a perfect ‘tool belt’ for when I want to go out urban sketching, as it means I have my favorite art materials quickly to hand.
Suitable fabrics for this sewing pattern include:
Canvas
Denim
Leather
Waxed cotton
I also used a Liberty ripstop fabric for the facing section, but this is option and not required.
I would say the skill level for this sewing pattern is confident beginner, though I would never suggest an absolute beginner couldn’t manage it. There’s just a little patience needed to mark in and sew all the slots and pocket sections.
The pattern is available in A0 for copy shop printing as well as US letter and A4 format to print at home.
