Creative Dressmaking is my new monthly members area, for those who want to create gorgeous unique clothes designed by - and made by - you!
Imagine being able to create a wardrobe of delightful creative clothes that actually fit?
Using starting patterns that you know work for your body, each month sees a new project which guides you through developing (or hacking) a pattern to create something new and unique to you.
I'll break down each project into four weeks, so that you're not overwhelmed:
Week 1: Project overview, with design inspiration, starting pattern or 'block' suggestions, as well as my guide notes on design principles to consider.
Week 2: Developing a base pattern into the new pattern, including pattern manipulation steps for those who aren't sure.
Week 3: The toile (mock-up) and fitting stage. We take the project shell, and we look at what needs to change. We'll also think about the fabrics that you could use for the final version and I'll share garment construction methods that will be good for your project.
Week 4: The final garment. I'll show you mine - along with notes I made along the way - and you can share yours. If you're working slower, that's okey, the project discussion stays open and you can add your questions or your finished project at any time.
Calls: There will also be one live call for members each month, so you can ask questions, get feedback, share ideas...
